Mary  E. VanDermark

Mary E. VanDermark, 88, of Du Quoin, passed away at 4:30 P.M., Sunday, September 5, 2004 at the Pinckneyville Community Hospital in Pinckneyville, IL.  Harry A. VanDermark, 85, of Du Quoin, passed away at 8:05 P.M., Thursday, December 21, 2000 at the Rehab and Care Center of Jackson County in Murphysboro, IL.
Mary was a homemaker.  She had attended First Baptist Church in Du Quoin.  Harry was a retired truck driver.  He was of the Protestant faith.  He was a Navy Seabee serving in W.W. II and a U.S. Marine in the Korean War.
Mary was born June 22, 1916 at Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of Edward and Hanna (Brown) Dunn.  Harry was born June 3, 1915 at Newark, NJ, the son of Arthur and Elizabeth (Weber) VanDermark.
They were married in 1935 at Doylestown, PA.
Mary is survived by one son - Harry F. VanDermark and wife Phyllis of Du Quoin and one sister - Gertrude Seese of Warminster, PA.
Harry was survived by his wife of Du Quoin and one son - Harry F. VanDermark and wife Phyllis of Du Quoin.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter - Joy VanDermark, one grandson - Steve VanDermark, one brother and three sisters.

At the request of Mr. and Mrs. VanDermark, cremation services were held.
A memorial graveside service for Mary and Harry was at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, September 15, 2004 at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Du Quoin with Rev. Shaw DeMent officiating.
Those attending the service were asked to go directly to the cemetery.
Interment was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Du Quoin.
